Friday march 5th, 2010 was a momentous day in the life of mikey,,I got a new job!! I am looking forward to the new challenge that await me and hopefully i can be of value to the organization which I now belong to. I want to thank each and everyone of you for keeping me busy this past 20 yrs,,meegwetch! it surely has been a pleasure serving you all. i wouldnt change a thing. while there were a few trials along the way, non too serious, it has been a magnificent journey one which i would recommend to anyone. should anyone want any advice about entrepreneurship please do not hesitate to call on me. I will not be closing instantly as I will be winding things down in the next few weeks, please stop in to say hello. again thank you everyone for your patronage, banter and most of all your friendship. that was a gr8 father's day. i took my dotter to frenchman rapids for the day fished our way back. she caught 3 fish:)
well that was a quik 4 months. it was very interesting. to see all them individuals working collectively at a single goal. seeing from the outside is different, when you see and do it, it is alot of work. but the reward is worth it. the kids enjoyed it as did I. over the yrs i had wanted to work up there but felt it wasnt time. im glad i waited. i always wondered what my dad meant when he sed "something will come along" I think, well my interpreption of it is, that you spend your life conducting yourself in such a manner, learning things on your path in life and then someday those talents and skills will be called upon.
my danis asked me what made her unique. i simply replied "3 things, you are my daughter, you have an awesome Dad and that you didnt get knocked up before 20"

Today was the 20th anniversary of my Entrepreneurship in the Six4. I would like to thank my parents for all their support and teachings over the years which allowed me to succeed and continue even when i did not want to. thanks to my daughter Crazz, for coming into the world so that I had to make a living to provide for her. Thanks to my family, God for the strength, friends and most especially to the people of eabametoong for your partonage at my places for whom it would not've been possible. thank you for keeping me busy. Sure being self-employed had its ups and its downs, what doesn't? but I have enjoyed serving you all at one point or another. what i enjoyed as well was the meeting of new people, be they fellow nishnobs from the six4 or from other communities, nurses, teachers, contractors and pilots. Through the years i met countless people, many many of whom i only knew by their first names. when Facebook came along a short while ago I didnt know how to reconnect with most of them b/c I didn't know their last names,,lol but i digress.
I would encourage anyone who wishes to pursue a career in self employment to GO FOR IT! do not let anything or anyone say you can not do it. God, before we are born, has given each and everyone of us a special talent. find your talent plan for it , educate yourself and work hard toward your goals. I had people scoff at me for how i did things or that they simply did not like me because i do what i do. for the longest time I could not figure out why they felt like that, but my Dad made it very clear one day, i was just starting out at the time, when he told me "they are envious of you because you are doing what they can not do" after he said that I never let that bother me again. i just smiled as they walked a way when they did that, not a snarky smile just a lil 'huh' smile. I am open from time to time after my work at JCY. I will have certain things on stock i will be doing this just to keep myself busy and for gas money. so please come by say hello and hopefully I will have what you are looking for. well that was a gr8 summer. it is officially over for me. now i must busy myself getting ready for the upcoming winter's activities. i hope my gilopy fires up,,lol i cant wait to do things like run in minus 20 clim. it is awesome and invigorating.i encourage you all to get out there it is a beautiful place we live. envy of all who come here and see our backyard.i like to tag along if you got something going just let me know,,cheers:)

He has been gone now five full years, time does not lessen how much we miss and think about him. it's the leasons he taught us and memories that we have of and with him that make us strong and moving forward..May God keep and guard you in Paradise always Dad. We will meet again in due course.
